You can see the colors, and it will keep way longer than in a traditional metal paint can. Couple of things I noticed; when the bottle is full it draws very well. Obviously when it gets down towards the bottom, it won't draw if you are holding it on an angle. Also, the bottle can get in the way, especially if you are painting something that is on the ground.
