Being an Office for Mac 2011 user is sometimes hard. And not just because Office for Mac 2011 is so far behind its Windows counterpart in terms of functionality, it’s also because its applications like Outlook for Mac 2011 looks so outdated and horrible. In the case of Outlook, it might be on a par with the Outlook 98 design. Thankfully, I only have to deal with the horror when my wife has a problem with Outlook for Mac, which is approximately every two days. I get lots of practice at sorting out Outlook for Mac problems.
I use Mac Outlook 2016 and subscribe to Exchange 365. Every few hours a message appears in Outlook “Unsynchronized items in (Domain name) will be deleted do you want to continue. It says “You have changed the mailbox used by (Domain name). If you accept this change you will lose any items no synchornized.
Then click on Next button to enable the desired option. Now, its ready to Save Outlook 365 mailbox on the user computer system.

Preferably with IT help, because it’s definitely not a friendly, intuitive process. Sorry I don’t have an easy answer. Mail is complicated.

Ok, it is “just” a preview and may be you shouldn’t use it for your business, but on the other hand why not give it a try. Recent previews of Microsoft solutions are rather stable. So, I tried, but the installation included some unpleasant surprises.
• Go to Outbox and delete the stuck message. If the Outbox is not visible, initiate a send and receive and open the Progress dialog. Either click the Stop Sync button in the lower left or the little x at the right of the entry to stop the send and receive. The Outbox should now be visible in message list and you can remove the attachments or delete the message.

Nothing to scan - Desktops are pooled and recycled to the base image every time a user logs off. The only thing that's saved is user data (Documents, Desktop, etc) - however, this does give me an idea. Part of the saved profile data is Application Data that contains some outlook info - that doesn't get wiped when the profile is wiped. Perhaps deleting the outlook account and then wiping that folder will help. I'll keep you updated.

If you can use that email account with a website, such as Outlook.com, see whether you can receive and send new mail using that site. If you can’t, call your technical support or your email service provider for help. If you can get and send mail on the website, the mail server’s fine. But Outlook might need updates or there might be a problem with the mail account settings.
